FILTER MEDIUMS

Filter elements TU BY 590339385.001-2005 are designed for fine filtration of melts of ferrous (grey, ductile and high-duty cast iron, high-carbon and manganese steels) and non-ferrous materials when casting in disposable sand molds and chill.
The filter base is hard grid-type structure 1.2 mm thick, size of filter cells: 1.5x1.5 mm; 2.0x2.0 mm (1.0x1.0 mm for aluminum alloys) and heat resistance up to 1680⁰C.

MODIFYING INSETS FOR CAST IRON

Modifying element TU BY 100229713.003-2005 is designed for complex out-of-furnace fluid iron processing when casting. The processing includes "late" (in casting mold) fluid iron melt inoculation by modifying element and also fine filtration by elements of fine cleaning. A Unique composition of the additive and its insertion method provide powerful grafitizing effect and different section structure equalization of different-walled details and size-reduction of melt structure constituents.

EXOTHERMAL INSETS

Exothermal insets TU BY 590339385.004-2008 are designed for producing steel and cast iron in gating systems with casting temperature of 1400⁰C to 1700⁰C. The aim of use - elimination of casting waste due to defects of shrinkage, risers specific quantity of metal reduction by 20% to 40% and respectively in-spec casting output increase. The aim is achieved by local heating of fluid metal (up to 2000⁰C), which slows the process of melt hardening in risers part of the gating system and by creating extra gas pressure on metal in exothermal reaction zone. The shape of inset (cone passing into frustum of cone) was developed specially for using it with and automated molding.

ADIABATIC INSET

Adiabatic insets TU BY 590339385.005-2008 are designed to be used for producing large-size (bulky) casts of all sorts of steel, cast iron and non-ferrous materials with casting temperature up to 1650⁰C for riser heat insulation to increase solidification time in the feeding boss and considerably rise its efficiecy. Using feed systems with adiabatic insets has the aim of increasing in-spec casting output (by 10-15%) because of decrease of specific quantity of metal of risers (up to 30%) and decreasing power inputs and elimination of cast waste due to shrinkage defects.
